Kerathin introduces PodiaPro for clinical trial

ZIP Innovations worked with health and beauty start-up Kerathin to incorporate Lawrence Shubert's patented nail filing technology into a corded hand-held medical grade tool for the Podiatric and Spa markets. The device uses single-use abrasive pads that are optimized for safe and effective nail filing and limit cross-contamination. The oscillating action allows technicians to easily file the top surface and free end of the nail without harming the cuticle or surrounding skin. In addition, the action and orthogonal axis of rotation reduce the amount of air-born dust that is created during the procedure. The unit is particularly effective for safely filing diabetics nails and for debridement to aid in the treatment of nail diseases such as onychomcosis.
