INNOVATION CAMPFIRE GROUPS 

If you are invited and approved to join, you will be part a curated group of at most 5-7 vetted innovation leaders and facilitated by someone that's been there and done that in the innovation space for 30+ years. 

Groups meet monthly (over Zoom) for a structured, 60-minute campfire meeting designed to help you: 

• Overcome your biggest challenges.

• Stay accountable to your goals. 

• Hear new strategies and ideas.

• Celebrate your successes and share lessons learned.

*Our peer groups are carefully organized by similar growth phase and size in non-competitive industries.

Hi, I'm Lawrence Shubert.

I was a Principal at IDEO and helped pioneer the process of Human-Centered Design. Since then, I created ZIP Innovation to help organizations and individuals innovate faster, with less risk and more impact.

To this day, I am haunted by a project I led at IDEO in the mid 90’s. We worked with 𝗞𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗸 to explore how the world leading brand could position themselves in the emerging world of digital imaging. After an extensive exploration, we presented our strategic vision to Kodak’s CEO, George Fisher. Unfortunately, he politely passed on our perspective. Every concept we imagined in our vision exists in the world today. In 2001, worldwide sales of film peaked, and then quickly declined as digital imaging took over. Kodak declared bankruptcy in 2012.

Throughout my career, I have seen this pattern repeat itself time and time again. Most operationally based companies today are not structured in a way to innovate in an effective and sustainable manner.

In response to this frustrating pattern, I have created the Innovation Campfire to help leaders realize their potential for innovation and impact. This is a holistic approach that leverages the principles of Human-Centered Design at its core and is built upon the fundamentals of People, Place and Process. All three elements of this foundation must be in place to optimize the potential for success. This is the case for organizations large and small across a wide range of industries.

The Innovation Campfire is not just another unstructured peer group. Rather, it is highly curated and facilitated sessions where we systematically work through all elements of the holistic framework to help you optimize your chance of success.

Please know that we only consider candidates who meet our requirements. Additionally, we will provide valuable resources and support to help you through the process.

Join the Campfire

If admitted into the group, you will join a small, close-knit community of no more than seven other innovative individuals. Every member is driven and enthusiastic about human-centered design and innovation without being competitive. You will receive direct access to me and my team as well as numerous innovation-related ideas and resources.
